About

FCHCatechesis

FCH is a national organization that helps promote evangelization and catechesis for those who work at any level. We do this by mentoring and advocating for evangelization and catechesis within the Hispanic/Latino community, developing and forming leaders, promoting new leaders, and curating resources to support leaders and catechists as well as organizations and groups in the field.

We are here to help YOU in your evangelization and catechesis with Hispanics/Latinos Catholics.

Prayer of The Roman Missal

O God,
shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably upon your servant, Leo XIV,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Church in the United States must have a space where religious educators and other pastoral leaders come together on a regular basis to reflect about how catechesis takes place in light of the Hispanic Catholic Experience. FCH is without a doubt that space where ideas are shared, catechetical matters are critically engaged, and a fresher vision for the future of religious education in an increasing Hispanic Church is forged.

Hispanic catechists need an organization to be able to share. What can we share? Well, our goals, achievements, successes, challenges and how we learn along the way. FCH is a place to go and find a network of people with whom we can share what I do in catechism sessions.

I am happy to come to FCH and be able to express the needs and difficulties of our community. Many voices are not heard, which in many cases bring great gifts to the harvest. So that the joy of the Gospel may always endure in us.

We are more than an organization or a website. We are a group of catechists like you who believe that when we share our teaching/evangelization best practices, we are stronger.

Together we can help each other be better catechists, "a Christian who receives a particular calling from God that, when accepted in faith, empowers him for the service of transmission of the faith and for the task of initiating others into the Christian life” as describe by The Directory for Catechesis.
