Bishop Lewandowski to serve as Episcopal liaison for FCH
On 2 March 2023, Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R, accepted to be the first Episcopal Liaison of the Federation for Catechesis with Hispanics. This position will be one of prayer, support and advocacy as FCH seeks to support the mission and vision of the bishops for evangelization and catechesis. Bishop Lewandowski will meet with FCH once a year to assist in establishing goals to support the mission of the organization.
Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. has served as a Redemptorist for 32 years and was ordained a priest in 1994. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, he has served in Hispanic Ministry at parishes in East Harlem, the Bronx, and Philadelphia. He also served for several years as Superior/Pastoral Associate at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in St. Lucia, West Indies. Bishop Lewandowski was the Vicar for Cultural Ministries in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia from 2010-15. In 2015, he was assigned by the Redemptorist Provincial to Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Baltimore, Maryland, where he served as pastor until 2020. In 2019, he was appointed the Archbishop’s Delegate for Hispanic Ministry for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. In August 2020, Pope Francis assigned him as Titular Bishop of Croae and Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore.
